East Staffs Big Green Week 7 – 15 June
East Staffs are running a comprehensive programme of community climate action events from 7 – 15 June as part of their ‘Big Green Week’ – full details of all the events and activities can be found at: https://discovereaststaffordshire.com/green-week/
The Climate Policy Impact Simulator Workshop might be of particular interest to town and parish councils. Details below.
- Date: Thursday 12th June, 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
- Venue: Burton Town Hall
- What: Interactive workshop using the internationally recognised En-ROADS Climate Solutions Simulator
- Why parish councils would find it valuable: Hands-on opportunity to explore different climate policy pathways, understand trade-offs between climate action and economic/social outcomes, and strengthen evidence-based decision making for local climate initiatives
This workshop is designed specifically for policy makers and those shaping climate strategies, so it’s really relevant for parish councillors who are increasingly dealing with climate-related decisions and community initiatives.
The workshop is being delivered by the Globe CIC (I’m connecting you with Harriet, cc’d on this email), an organisation with a strong track record in delivering climate-related events and workshops.
Would you be able to share this opportunity with your members? The workshop is completely free, but spaces are limited. Registration is at: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/globegroup/1644443
